His dramatic chronicle detailing three years of secret and semi-secret talks between Israel and the Palestinians?mostly in Oslo, but also in Rome, Geneva, Cairo, Tunis?is a remarkable piece of living history. As re-created here, the Oslo rounds, which led to the historic handshake between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO chief Yasser Arafat in 1993, were far more productive than the official talks in Washington. Savir accuses the Clinton administration of erring in placing little faith in the Oslo process, because it hoped, in vain as it turned out, for a breakthrough with Syria. As a clinical psychologist w/ extensive experience working with children and families, I recommend this book for any parent.It's full of helpful, fun, and easy suggestions for behavioral management and improving parent-child relationships.Changes resentment by children at limits imposed into giggles and increased cooperation. Fosters awareness of choicesand personal accountability.Have bought and given away a lot of copies of this book. I haven't found a better one.

Repetitive from their original book "how to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk". If you already own one then dont buy the other. I wouldnt buy this one buy original if you don't have either. It's a great book and I have applied everything taught with great success.

Working with middle school age children and being a grandparent I often find helpful tips such as the ones offered in this book very well worth the time it takes to read through them. How To Talk So Kids Can Learn helps me to keep in mind that all students, young and old, need to be assured of your belief in their ability to be successful in an all too often discouraging setting.

So helpful. Gives many examples of how to stop telling kids what to do, and listen to what they need to make better choices themselves. All the teachers at our school are reading it.

I am in school to be a nurse and am interested in pediatric nursing. I found this book to be extremely helpful in speaking with/addressing children (and some adults). So many doors have opened up using the helpful hints in this book. I love how it’s written for every type of learner and gives real world examples to pull from. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to develop better skills with children!

This is the teacher's edition of author's earlier works. It makes good sense and has immediate practical applications for use in the classroom. I bought a copy and gave it to a new teacher and will give it for other young teachers starting out. Starting out on the right foot is much better than not. I did like how they had the text laid out so that the points were presented in a way to be found in outline when you need a good reminder of them.

I really enjoyed How to Talk so Kids will Listen and Listen so Kids will Talk. I am in a MAT program and read this teaching version as part of my classroom management course. Very helpful and relatable!
